SLP Abroad’s Semester Abroad Programs are designed for undergraduate students in Communication Sciences & Disorders programs—or those interested in the field—this program combines hands-on clinical learning, accredited coursework, and meaningful cultural immersion.

About Our Semester Abroad

Spend a semester in San Ignacio, Belize, taking courses on our campus in partnership with Drexel University for a fully local, immersive academic experience.

Students live in shared housing in town and take courses including:

  • Clinical Practicum
  • Language Development
  • Language Disorders
  • Phonetics
  • Speech Sound Disorders

All courses are fully accredited by Drexel University, and credits are transferable to your home institution.

Academic & Clinical Immersion: Take courses and complete supervised clinical placements.

Reflection & Credit Transfer: Complete Drexel-accredited coursework, fully transferable to your home institution.

Eligibility: Undergraduate students enrolled in—or interested in—CSD programs. No prior international experience required.
